Murinsky stream in St. Petersburg: history, description
The stream, which will be discussed in this article,is the right tributary of the Okhta River flowing in the city of St. Petersburg. The beginning of this small trickle takes in the forest park "Sosnovka". The name he received from the name of the village of Murino located not far from him.
Further in the article we will give more detailed information about the Murinsky stream.
Quite interesting historical facts concernthese places. As early as the 1960s, large-scale housing construction was started in the area of the stream described. In the 1970s, this pond began to represent the border between two regions of new buildings: the GDR (the newest district, located on the left bank and called the Citizen beyond the stream), West Germany (the right bank is a fashionable region of the Grazhdanki).
In 1980, it was decided to createa green recreation zone in the river floodplain, but these plans remained for a long time only on paper. Only at the beginning of the two-thousandth began active work on the reclamation of land and the channel of the stream. As a result, the first park zones were created in the upper reaches (in the area to the west of Svetlanovsky Prospekt).
And now there are grandiose projects to create athis place is park. Murinsky creek should become a resting place for numerous citizens and guests of the capital. It is planned to place various attractions, cafes, a cultural center with a cinema, a hotel, sports zones and an outdoor swimming pool with a water heating system that works at any time of the year.
Geographical location of the stream, description
The Murinsky Stream (St. Petersburg) flows oneast and flows into the river Ohta (right tributary) near Novaya village. It has a length of 8.7 kilometers, width from 5 to 30 meters, and its depth reaches an average of 1 meter (up to 2-3 meters in ponds). The total area of the pool is approximately 41 square meters. kilometer.
By the way in its some ponds are found roach, perch, pike and crucian carp.
Unfortunately, the ecology of the stream was seriously damaged inconnection with the massive buildings of these places and, accordingly, with an increase in discharges of untreated sewage. The stream (especially its lower and middle reaches) for several decades practically turned into a fetid canal. Environmental problems sometimes arise in its upper reaches. For example, in 2010, sewage drains broke through in spring, after which an unauthorized tie-in was discovered in the collector. Subsequently, this caused the death of many fish and stopped nesting on the banks of the stream of birds.
In fact, this stream is aalmost the only remaining in St. Petersburg, an open sewage drain that carries its dirty waters into the Okhta River, which then flow into the Neva. Such similar circumstances are explained by the insufficiency of money for the creation of modern treatment facilities.
Other sources of pollution
The sources of pollution of the Murinsky stream are:
- storm sewage (from the transport and container roads, approximately 140, in the area of the Parnas industrial zone);
- switching of domestic wastewater from residential houses tostorm drainage networks (emergency situations, erroneous connections during the construction of new houses, unauthorized creation of jumpers inside residential blocks);
- numerous sewage discharges from the emergency release in the production of various works on the Vyborg reservoir tunnel to prevent the flooding of this large part of the city's territory.
All these factors led to a rather unsatisfactory, or rather catastrophic, sanitary and epidemiological situation that was created in the Kalininsky district of the city of St. Petersburg.
On the composition of water
Water in the middle part and in the lower reaches of the describedThe brook is turbid, its transparency is 4 centimeters. Fecal odor reaches up to 5 points. The content of petroleum products - up to 7 mg per liter, iron - 4.4 mg per liter, surfactant - 1.3 mg per liter. The sediment of the bottom of the reservoir is black, muddy, with the presence of the smell of rot, the bed is waterlogged.
Almost all selected samples afterlaboratory tests showed inconsistency of the water composition with sanitary norms for bacteriological indicators (2000-2001 studies), a pathogenic microflora was also discovered. Thus, the degree of pollution of the stream watercourse is estimated as high.
And for the time being, the Murinsky Stream is experiencing intense pollution, which is confirmed by data from periodic laboratory water studies.
It should be noted that in this case, above the dam (near Svetlanovsky Prospekt) and at the source of the stream, where there are no harmful wastewater, and where the flood plain is landscaped, the water is clear and clean.
In conclusion about future plans
At the very beginning of the Murinsky stream,was the farm Benoit, as well as the eponymous prospectus (now he is Tikhoretsky). This farm was later combined with another small one, located on the opposite side of the creek. Today, the city administration and investors are working on the restoration of this farm and the adjacent park.
It is planned to build a city amusement park on this site, which will be connected with the park near the top of the stream.
