Hairy Panic in Australia
Residents of the Australian Wangaratta (Wangaratta) are faced with an unusual natural problem. A weed called Panicum Effusum, popularly known as hairy panic, literally flooded the neighborhood.
Driven by the wind in the form of tumbleweed dry grass accumulates everywhere like snowdrifts, overwhelming the yards of houses and creating problems for their inhabitants.
About 17 thousand people live in the city of Wangaratta, which is the birthplace of the famous musician Nick Cave. Some of them have to go out to harvest the grass several times a day.
