Do not underestimate the American soldiers
Of course, each of us has heard stories about how Americans cannot fight without Coca-Cola, toilet paper, playstation and freshly squeezed orange juice. Jokes and jokes on the theme of the softness of the pendos turned into a national sport of Russian sofa cushions. The whole “runet” is filled with articles about what American warriors are morons, how they lost all the wars, but still they climb from their stupidity wherever it is possible and impossible. That only is the last Russian "duck" that allegedly half of the team of the American destroyer filed a resignation report in connection with the psychological overload from the overflight of their ship by the Russian attack aircraft.
It is a perfect fact that there are only three serious military structures in the world - the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, NATO and the PLA. Everything else is a trifle. I do not know how the Chinese, maybe for the “great Chinese firewall” they also make fun of not only the “pendos”, but also the Russian warriors (there is enough disgrace of the RF Armed Forces, there is no sense in hidingthat there is only the first Chechen war with its vile supply and equipment of Russian soldiers and the abomination, betrayal and stupidity of the generals, as well as the top of the state). Well, okay, I do not know what the Chinese have, but the stupid and harmful myth that Americans are weak warriors must be debunked, if only for the fact that the likely adversary must be respected and in no way underestimated. it will be bad if God forbid that. Many times they already flaunted and this only led to a huge number of victims.
I want to point out once again, I do not intend to belittle the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation - no, I will try to tell you that our opinion about the US Army is demonized and mythologized to a complete loss of communication with reality and this is harmful to impossibility.
Americans won almost all of their wars, and mostly won them unconditionally, if you look at the history of the United States and Russia, the percentage of wars won is about equal (they will even have more), naturally with a discount on their younger state.
For example, after Russia lost the First World War (due to the betrayal of the then government, we lost the war uniquely, blown to the losing side, generally nonsense), the Germans would inevitably have destroyed the British and French, but it was the intervention of the Americans that turned the tide of the war. And exclusively thanks to the “pendos” we returned everything that the Bolsheviks gave to the Germans in the Brest Peace.
During the Second World War (and the United States entered this war in alliance with the USSR in December 1941), American aid was very important for Russia, how much it cost - the second question, we do not discuss political and business deals here. Yes, the Americans were dragging on the opening of a second front in Europe, but this was not evidence of the cowardice of the US Armed Forces, but rather political games. The insignificant losses of the Americans compared with ours did not at all indicate their inability to fight, but the fact that it was not customary to kill soldiers and officers in vain, and that they had more air-to-sea war than land forces due to geographical circumstances and, of course, the scale of the collisions was slightly different than on the Eastern Front. But if necessary, to fight and die accordingly, they were always ready. For example, the battle for "Guadalcanal" in heroism was in no way inferior to the defense of Sevastopol ..
Go ahead, the hardest Korean war, the Americans did not lose, but did not win. And then there was the biggest disaster of the US Armed Forces - Vietnam.
In Vietnam, the Americans proved themselves worthy of warriors, but thanks to the help of the USSR, the Vietnamese managed not to lose even the high-tech war (Air Force against air defense), the Vietnamese commanders remarkably used the geographical features of the theater of operations during the guerrilla and classical war. And surprisingly, they won the information war. And this is the most important thing, it was then that the Americans understood the importance of the info warrant, and the USSR did not learn anything.
After the jungle of Vietnam, the American army was at a fork, under pressure from American society, the US military switched to a “professional” set, refusing to be called up, or rather, to declare it “zero” (legally, it has not been canceled yet). Here it should be recalled that any armed forces exist to fight, and this implies the obligation to die. To die for money is impossible - for them you can only kill. You can die only for the idea. Therefore, the draft army is psychologically obviously more stable than the “professional”because they imply the idea of protecting the homeland. The “professional” army cannot defend the country, which is consistently confirmed by world experience. As well as current events in Ukraine.
During both world wars, the American army was a conscription, in Vietnam the society ceased to perceive the war, the citizens didn’t care about the soldiers, the idea of the war and of its own justice died. Because of this, the army began to decompose (for the first time in American military history in Vietnam, there were killings of its commanders by soldiers).
In the first place, those who did not find their place in civilian life went to the new professional army of the United States. That is, lumpen. Or, at best, well-intentioned people from the lower classes. Representatives of other segments of the population will choose a civilian profession, which gives many times more money at an incomparably higher level of freedom (and if they see their vocation in military service, they will become officers, not private men). This happened in all developed countries, including the United States. In the 1980s, the quality of the personnel of the US Armed Forces deteriorated catastrophically.
But the Americans solved this problem.First, they raised many times the allowance of contractors, began to provide them with significant benefits (for example, free higher education, it is very important in the states), which by the early 90s led to a significant improvement in the quality of personnel, however, its maintenance was extremely expensive. In addition, in the United States, even more persistently than before, they began to work on fighting with minimal losses or even without them at all. And here they also achieved remarkable success. In particular, in the course of this work, the concept of a network-centric war was born, which is undoubtedly a revolution in military affairs. This concept implies the unification of all aircraft into a single organism, where all are associated with all data transmission systems, where all enemy actions are monitored in real time and immediately struck by the forces and means that are currently best suited for this. Thanks to all this, the USA won the Yugoslav and two Iraqi wars almost without loss. However, in the end it turned out that technical miracles cost the further, the more expensive, sometimes just insanely expensive.
Then, with the help of the media, the psychological factor was also adjusted. At the beginning of all the US wars of the nineties and two thousand years, the personnel were very well motivated, the soldiers really believed that they were taking revenge for the attacks of September 11 and defending their country, although far from it territorially. The initial stages of all modern wars were won by Americans with brilliance and almost no losses.
Now faced with large-scale guerrilla actions and exposing the lies of their superiors (about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and Afghanistan’s participation in the 9/11 attacks), the motivation of personnel in the land forces and even in the elite marines again catastrophically decreased, although the cost of its content has increased even more . It turned out again that in such conditions no one is going to die for money, the US armed forces again broke down under the burden of financial and psychological problems. Now the American army is once again at a fork. If they manage to create at affordable prices (this is critically important) robotic combat systems in all three environments and weapons based on new physical principles, they can again become absolute hegemones.True, these things will already be truly dangerous for humanity, including the Americans themselves. Much more dangerous than nuclear weapons.
If the United States does not succeed, then they will still be able to defeat the vast majority of the armies of the world, but the few potential equal opponents of the United States will obviously not work hard. Naturally, they can protect their own US territory in any foreseeable future from anyone and from anything other than a massive nuclear strike. But no one plans to attempt on their territory for sure. But in the Eastern Hemisphere, many issues will be resolved without regard to Washington.
If we talk about the threat of Russia from the United States, then it must be remembered that for the United States an explosion of even one nuclear charge over any major American city is absolutely unacceptable damage.
Russia began, albeit slow and chaotic, but rearmament. At the same time, the United States, as mentioned above, broke down financially and psychologically, starting a significant reduction in the military budget and losing the desire to fight even with not very strong opponents.
Americans are not afraid of ground-based contact warfare, as we believe, but definitely not fighting without overwhelming air superiority. However, the last time with a strong air defense they met in 1991, during the first Iraqi. Yes, it was completely suppressed, but it cost the Americans at least 30 aircraft. Then they fought against a very small and extremely archaic Serbia air defense (having lost two airplanes), in the 21st century they didn’t have to meet at all with any air defense. In particular, the American pilots have never met with the S-300P and B, C-400, "Bukami", "Torah", "Shell", Su-27, MiG-31. In the Navy, the situation is better, but the Tomahawks are not physically enough to suppress the Russian SNF and air defense. Therefore, at present, a disarming non-nuclear strike seems unrealistic. The United States can inflict it only in case of guaranteed success, which is not so close now. And will anything change in this direction, now depends solely on ourselves.
